I like Steam. And I also like Risk of Rain.
But I don’t like Risk of Rain that much.
“L is for Last Exile!”
I haven’t really posted much about Last Exile ever since I mentioned it somewhere in this blog that I was going to hide in my cave and watch it. Oh boy, has it delivered the goods. Along with some bruised apples and Russians.
Out of left field, completely. How in the world did this slip by my radar? I did see that little feature 1UP had on it, but I thought nothing of it and completely forgot about it. I looked in disbelief when I started up Steam and saw the ad. Even more so when I realized it’s already available for purchase. It’s been 15 years since I’ve played the original Genesis game.
Time to play it again! IN 3D!
Update: Steam had it misprinted as released on the 7th. It’ll be out on the 12th apparently. Dammit, they had me so excited.
So apparently there’s more computing devicery within our cars for the now and later. Doesn’t look good to me. And thus here is our 3rd podcast. And have fun thinking about what Jigglypuff is saying in the above image.
The usual beefy length, clocking in at around 1 hour and 45 minutes with co-podcaster Fishyjoe.
Final Fantasy 13/14, Streets of Rage 2, Duke Nukem Forever, Capcom, EVE Online (see? still there), Trapeze, Chrome Shelled Regios, A Certain Scientific Railgun, and bits of Steam gaming make the target list. Derails not included.
It’s currently $4.99 off of Steam.
If you haven’t heard of this game by now, it’s a clever ‘tower defense’-ish game involving plants fending off zombies with various abilities to destroy zombies. One of those great addictive mini-games that you play when you’re supposed to be actually doing work.
Deal ends this Friday, so just get it!
