Angel Beats! was fun.

This is kind of sexy.

I have an entire “review” like entry for Angel Beats!, but I always somehow end up not trusting whatever the hell I’m saying. Seems like I’m using such a roundabout way just to say that I like a series despite it’s failings. Or maybe my way of saying that you can still enjoy a series even if it sucks. Am I trying to say that Angel Beats! is a bad show? Not really, but I’ll admit there are a couple of points I wish they tweaked a bit so it was a little better. Even those weren’t much. The only things I’d probably change were little things most probably don’t care about, and I’m sure Maeda Jun and the director, Kishi Seiji, were arguing about the same details that the audience really doesn’t care about. (But I do.)

I watched Angel Beats! for various reasons.

Kamiya Hiroshi, again. Hanazawa Kana and her crazy good voice. PA Works also did CANAAN. Man, was that ever a sketchy reason to watch this show. TK dances. Yuri was more appealing to me than Suzumiya. Headbands. There was a fishing event too, to cap off the silly NPC banter. Oh, how RPG-like.

Data compiled for Angel Beats

Radiation measurements: 277 cM per min; 110,053 MADness/RAGE total, 42 HNG per episode
Radiation consistency: non-burst type, exceptional cohesion

-No anomalies or unique signatures present.
-Headbands and rock bands reported to have reduced moe particle emission.
-Certain episodes contain heavy. (Not a mistake, you’re reading correctly. And no, not the Heavy from TF2.)
-TK is awesome.

Amount of suckage: 35%

Suckage does not indicate a value of inverse quality. Series may have 100% suckage, but contain much win.

Please leave a goddamn comment. I’ll post my full retrace of the series if I notice people read our stuff. We’re lonely here. (Or at least, I am.)

Five Teaspoons of Matrix and Three Cups of Doom

I’m getting close enough! 2nd podcast for you to listen to, and many new audio cleaning techniques obtained. So hopefully audio quality is drastically improved. Small topic list for you, because I keep forgetting what we talked about during the podcast. Need more organization!

Modern Warfare 2, Bad Company 2, The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi, PC vs Console (yes, this kind of thing), EVE Online (like always!), 3D Gaming, and a very small section on anime make the target list.

The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi & Suddenly, Assholes.

kyonko

The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi, or Vanishment for those who like ANN.com, is coming our way, after the post-trauma effects left over from the Endless Eight arc we were subjected to in the 2009 Haruhi run. It’s all fine and dandy, but the estranged opinion of everyone was that character designs ever since K-ON! simply went to shit. It’s quite a strong sentiment. I didn’t do any research but it already seems like all it needed was a seeded thought of “suckage” and everyone went with it. Primarily, this has to do with popular opinion about the character designs of Kyoto Animation; I’d like to think it started earlier with Lucky Star.
