I have an entire “review” like entry for Angel Beats!, but I always somehow end up not trusting whatever the hell I’m saying. Seems like I’m using such a roundabout way just to say that I like a series despite it’s failings. Or maybe my way of saying that you can still enjoy a series even if it sucks. Am I trying to say that Angel Beats! is a bad show? Not really, but I’ll admit there are a couple of points I wish they tweaked a bit so it was a little better. Even those weren’t much. The only things I’d probably change were little things most probably don’t care about, and I’m sure Maeda Jun and the director, Kishi Seiji, were arguing about the same details that the audience really doesn’t care about. (But I do.)
I watched Angel Beats! for various reasons.
Kamiya Hiroshi, again. Hanazawa Kana and her crazy good voice. PA Works also did CANAAN. Man, was that ever a sketchy reason to watch this show. TK dances. Yuri was more appealing to me than Suzumiya. Headbands. There was a fishing event too, to cap off the silly NPC banter. Oh, how RPG-like.
Data compiled for Angel Beats
Radiation measurements: 277 cM per min; 110,053 MADness/RAGE total, 42 HNG per episode
Radiation consistency: non-burst type, exceptional cohesion
-No anomalies or unique signatures present.
-Headbands and rock bands reported to have reduced moe particle emission.
-Certain episodes contain heavy. (Not a mistake, you’re reading correctly. And no, not the Heavy from TF2.)
-TK is awesome.
Amount of suckage: 35%Suckage does not indicate a value of inverse quality. Series may have 100% suckage, but contain much win.
Please leave a goddamn comment. I’ll post my full retrace of the series if I notice people read our stuff. We’re lonely here. (Or at least, I am.)
